As published: “Cast bronze with old patina. The base of this tripod candlestick is decorated with stylised dragons beneath a round pommel and a wide, protruding drip pan. The piece displays strong stilistic similarity to a dragon candlestick in the Diözesanmuseum in Münster, which Otto von Falke (op. cit.) published as a Westphalian work dating to around 1200. Very minor wear and dents. The iron pricket presumably an older replacement”
