As published: “With remains of gilding.. The dish is made of "tombak" bronze, which is copper mixed with a larger portion of tin, and belongs to a group of 11 similar dishes kept in various European collections, all of which have been published by Josepha Weitzmann-Fiedler (ibid.) in her seminal work on the subject. The centre is engraved with a six-pointed star surrounded by depictions of four knights dressed in chainmail, carrying shields and upraised swords, as well as four stylised palmtrees. With minor wear and rubbing”
