This finely crafted imperial gilt-bronze shrine is conceived in the form of a traditional Chinese pavilion with double-eaved roofs, its soaring upturned eaves imparting an air of dignity and elegance. The exterior is richly gilded throughout and meticulously chased with scrolling cloud and floral motifs that flow seamlessly across its surfaces. The base and eaves are further embellished with enamel decoration, the vibrant colours providing a striking contrast to the lustrous gilding. Executed with exceptional precision and refinement, the shrine exemplifies the exacting standards and aesthetic sophistication of Qing imperial workmanship. by Qing Dynasty A Chinese Gilt-Bronze And Enamel Buddhist Shrine Enshrining A Zanabazar-Style Figure, sculpture, sold Oct 2026Photo © Leonard Joel — view this lot on Leonard Joel ↗
