  1. Landshut around 1485, A terracotta figure of a female saint, Landshut, around 1485, Worked in the round, the interior hollow. With remnants of the original polychromy. Depicting a female saint standing in a gently swaying pose on a tiered pedestal, designed for a frontal viewpoint. The loss of the figure's crown and hands has meant that the identifying attribute, too, is now missing. Her graceful pose is accentuated by the lively drapery of the robes, and the fact that the figure was sculpted from terrcotta also allowed for a high degree of detail in the rendering of the facial features, hair and costume. The finely worked sculpture was produced in a Landshut studio specialising in the production of works in clay and can be dated to around 1485 based on comparison with other figures from this workshop. The left forearm and parts of the right hand lost. Minor wear throughout. Five small drilled holes on the sides and the back of the head and veil, presumably mounting holes for a (now missing) crown
